The E. P. University College, Ho, Ghana, a leading Christian private institution of higher learning, invites applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the position of Registrar effective 1st April, 2022. The Appointment is by tenure for a suitable candidate who has not attained sixty years of age subject to good health and satisfactory performance of duties. A suitably qualified candidate who has attained the age of sixty (60) years or above may be appointed on contract for a period of not more than four (4) years and on conditions as may be specified in the instrument of his/her appointment. 

The Registrar:                   

  • is the Secretary to Council;
  • shall serve as the advisor and Chief Administrative Officer of the President and the University College;
  • shall provide secretarial and administrative support to Statutory Boards and Committees;
  • shall be the custodian of the University College seal and be responsible for its usage in accordance with the directions of Council;
  • shall develop the framework within which policies of the University College shall be made;
  • shall be responsible for publications in the Institution’s Bulletin or Gazette policy decisions of Council and other boards;
  • shall assist in the interpretation and application of policies, rules and proceedings, terms and conditions and scheme of service for staff;
  • shall support administrative and academic programmes of the University College;
  • shall ensure compliance with public and or industrial legislations, and for human resource management and development including human resource planning, recruitment, training, appraisal, promotion, transfer and discipline;
  • shall contribute to the improvement of information flow within and outside the University College; and
  • shall ensure implementation and enforcement of the rules and regulations and decisions of the appropriate Boards or Committees of the University College.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate:

  • must hold at least a Masters degree or equivalent qualification;
  • must be at least a Senior Assistant Registrar and must have served on that rank for at least two years in a tertiary institution or related institution;
  • must have experience and knowledge in tertiary education administration and management;
  • must have knowledge of the private tertiary education landscape in Ghana;
  • must be aware of global trends and challenges in higher education;
  • must be able to provide leadership and inspire confidence, as well as direct and motivate the administrative staff; and
  • must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and must be a team player.
