The Evangelical Presbyterian University College (EPUC) held its 16th Graduation Ceremony on Friday, March 28, 2025.
A total of 265 students graduated at the ceremony. This comprised 222 graduates with Bachelor’s degrees, 15 with Master’s degrees, 12 with Diplomas, and 16 with Certificates.
The ceremony was attended by the leadership of the E.P. Church, Ghana and the Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu who was the Guest of Honour.
The Acting President of EPUC, Prof. Tsatsu Adogla-Bessa, gave a report on the Institution’s development, difficulties, and successes. He underlined that the graduates’ achievement was built on the principles of integrity, discipline, and hard work.
Additionally, the Council Chairman, Dr. George Mawusi Afeti announced a Build, Operate, and Transfer (BOT) arrangement for lecture halls and a 3,000-bed dormitory facility at EPUC’s permanent location at Wumenu, a few kilometers from Ho.
Hon. James Gunu lauded EPUC’s advancement of education and regional development. He reaffirmed government’s support for higher education in the Volta Region and urged the graduates to approach their future endeavours with commitment, diligence, and creativity.
Hon. Gunu Congratulated the graduates on their accomplishments and expressed optimism that their contributions will benefit society.
Mr. Eric Eli Adzie, a sports journalist with GBC-Volta Star Radio in Ho, was named the overall best student of 2024. Mr. Adzie, who was also the immediate past SRC President, Mr. Adzie, received the Best Graduating Student in Governance Studies, Best Male Graduating Student, and Overall Best Graduating Student (Valedictorian) accolades after graduating with First Class Honours in Governance Studies.
He thanked the University’s Management, instructors, and family for their support during his academic career.
Mr. Bright Kwashie Ege emerged as the overall best student in the Post-graduate category.
